Ahhhh -- I like yours better than mine -- your wit has always inspired me! You and Daniel are wired to write these types of poems so easily  --smile--

Nicely wrought. I had some fun with this a few years ago.

HETERONYMICALLY SPEAKING

I tie a tie that suits my suits,
attribute all my attributes.
I fool around but never am the fool.
I use my skill, put it to use,
excuse but never make excuse.
I school the ones who never learned in school.

I alternate the alternate,
perfect the style of perfect fit,
and will subject the subject to a rhyme.
I digest all the digests to
permit the permits to pursue
and I’m content the content is all mine.

After delving into the definitions again, I see how confusing it is!  One try is a verb and one is a noun--so neither represents the heteronym or homonym.  I'll need to google a list of these to get started Undecided

Oh my am I confused!  Not at your poem, it's very nicely done.  But I thought heteronym was homophone, I had to write the definitions down to remember.  I will try to give this a try, as well.  Wait!  Is that a heteronym or homophone?  Complete accident, really!

Heteronyms
   – or "Read This So You Can Say You’ve Read It "

Take a minute to examine a very minute subject;
this poem is your address to attempt to address the subject of homographs.
I’ve been lead to this phenomenon from reading poems and now feel compelled to lead others
to this verse which will have very little content, but I hope you will be content enough,
and glad that you got close to understanding this word-play. So I’ll close here:
Should I tie a bow in my hair, and take bow…
Or just shed a tear, and tear this silly poem to shreds?

Heteronyms - Words that are spelled the same but pronounced differently.
