Hey Romany

Good to see you here.  No you can't take London out of the girl.  The few years I was away from London, I really missed it.

Sometimes it's good to raise your head and look at what's around especially in London as there is so much to see that we don't normally notice, rushing around.

Nice photos … make me miss London more than I already do.

You know what they say about taking the girl out of London but never London out of the girl … maybe that’s why I still walk fast, head down, like the commuter I was … but in the Spain (where I live now) people just say things like ‘why always in a hurry?’ and think I am poca loca!

Hey Tink

Good to see you again.  Thanks very much for your kind comments.  I was pleased with how these came out.  The light was excellent and wonderful views so I could just point and shoot.  I've only a little camera.   I can't use complicated manual ones, but it is a good one.  Post editing helps correct poor picture composition.

Thanks Diane

I didn't realise until I walked over the bridge that the view was so fantastic.  Luckily I always have my camera in my handbag.

Thanks Ren

If you ever come over to London, a trip on the London Eye is a must.  It goes round very slowly and the views on a clear day are spectacular.

We are very lucky in London to have lots of parks right in the centre.  What is especially good about St James' Park is that they have an area they've left to grow completely wild and natural.

Thanks very much P

It was lovely walking by the lake - a little piece of the country in the middle of the city.  For those who don't know its location it is very close to Buckingham Palace, running the length of the Mall.

We were lucky that the light was perfect for photos.  We were amazed when we walked over the little bridge to see the London Eye as such a perfect backdrop to the water.

The ducks were funny.  There was a fourth one who kept trying to catch up and join in with these three but never quite succeeded.

Hi Nas,

This is a fab smorgasbord of photographs. I am especially envious of your ducks - they have displayed much better than do mine.. well done.

Your photographs and angles show a fairytale-land emerging from the commerce and government of a large city.

The ferries wheel almost acts as a halo to the building below - excellent composition.

The willow's structure and colours are fab, too.

The swanning swan is, however, my fav - majestic.

Well done, Nas.
