Hi,

I know I posted on this one last night but for some reason it is not here...computers!
This is beautifully stated and feels very romantic. Enjoyed the post very much.

Since I'm not an artist, there are a few images in this that baffle me, but your words draw me in anyhow...

but I must join Terence in his thoughts that this might be posted in On Track...

unless this has been drawn to its conclusion ?

Hi Perr,

Like nas, Im "drawn" by the pictures you have so vividly portrayed.

Thought provoking! Smiley

Perroquet,
I'm one of the names you might not recognize since I've never commented on one of your poems, so hi there!  Very deep poem.

Hi Perroquet

I like the idea of you being drawn and the painter putting in shadow to reflect the relationship, smudging it and comparing to the ashes of the fire.

Hi Perr,

Thanks for reposting. I really like the way you build up the picture with your words.

I'm wondering why you didn't put it into On Track as there are 1 or 2 images I might question.
Enjoyed though. Terence

Conclusions Drawn From Nimbus

I thought I'd re-post this since I see so many new names here.

Conclusions Drawn From Nimbus

Draw back the curtains,
draw me in before the fire goes silent,
leaving recumbent lovers
staring at mute ashes.

Draw me in charcoal,
the strength in the curve of each line
a refinement
of too much history past,
then blend the shadow with our sun.

Drawn in by resplendent rays
withdrawn clouds threaten to haunt,
to etch themselves off canvas,
to become feared specters
that could prevent destined unions.

Their smudge is difficult to erase
but must be swept outward, upward,
dissolved into the white space,
where holiness crystallizes focus
on the mating,
and the aura of an ashen residual
marks our drawing with good luck.
