I hate writing in general....
It reminds me of the water in East Kentucky.

Spent time in New Mexico
again,
19 gin/tonics
later
Life
starts at 8pm
and your teeth fall out
the hosts
mention
that you
"look like nuts"
and we are carted off to
a casino.

Life is fantastic
on the way home we wondered
through
woody creek,
wishing to see your memorial,
but lost because
of all
those
private jets
in Aspen

..

I can't write anywhere else,
i hope i'm not raising any ire'...

It's been 7 months
as my mind figures since i've written here..

Lots of things, death of a great man
can't really seem to top that one ...
nor write against it...

He would want me to write thu'

A woman today
told me via the email at work
that her husband
said it was ok...

I'm all for your liberal ways
but dear christ
is this
how it really
works?

Count me out again....

Liebe machen Sie Ihren Krieg in Irak

Missing HST...
Writing letters not poems recently.......

Eagle Rare it is tonight
10year.

The little wrap they put around it
is starting to tear,
I almost feel like an aristocrat for spending 18$
on a pint of bourbon.

Someday they will put a banner
in this fine city
to honor you.

But the swine have control
this Fletcher bastard
has to go .

I'm just one of those
hapless crappity smacks, that your mother
shakes her head at ...
Whom bangs fists on every table
and screams
into some small living room
why can't things be simple
.

Life is easy at the start
and finish..
Ants smashing into each other
is what they leave to
the rest...

When will this war end?
When will people stop eating animals?
"When will i be able to walk into a store and buy what I want with my good looks?"
When will we stop destoying the earth?

Abraham Lincoln was from Kentucky...

Life can all boil
down to a Bob Dylan
song.

It all depends on
which way you
look
at
things.

Don't think twice
comes to mind..

Sometimes
I wish
it would
all stop.

It's not easy
to
think
it's ok.?

Too many times I've been asked "What makes a man?" Two many times I have been asked what makes a man. Three many times I've wonder why I would care,

Sometimes we get so messed up
that upside down
seems like
what it must be like
to live
some sort of
real existance.

God ,
If you are there
then I hate the way
you have made me
suffer
through this
awful existance...

So F*ck you.
And your stupid ideas.

Yeah, well, at this point, there's also the occasional, lone (who's afraid of?) woolf, read in tooth and claw, sitting on the outskirts and pointing.

Poetry? Yeah, well, poetry, okay, the friend-of-my-enemy-is-Google will give the claw some read truth:

Collect Telegram from a Mad Dog
(by Hunter S. Thompson)

Not being a poet, and drunk as well,
leaning into the diner and dawn
and hearing a juke box mockery of some better
human sound
I wanted rhetoric
but could only howl the rotten truth
Norman Luboff
should have his nuts ripped off with a plastic fork.
Then howled around like a man with the
final angst,
not knowing what I wanted there
Probably the waitress, bend her double
like a safety pin,
Deposit the mad seed before they
tie off my tubes
. . .

Suddenly a man with wild eyes rushed
out from the wooden toilet
Foam on his face and waving a razor
like a flag, shouting
. . .
We'll take our vengeance now!
. . .

We rang for Luboff
on the pay phone, but there was
no contact
. . .

Get a Lawyer, I said. These swine have gone
far enough.
Now is the time to
lay a writ on them,
Cease and Desist
. . .

The legal man agreed
We had a case and indeed a duty to
Right these Wrongs, as it were
The Price would be four thousand in front and
ten for the nut.
I wrote him a check on the Sawtooth
National Bank,
but he hooted at it
While rubbing a special oil on
his palms
To keep the chancres from itching
beyond endurance
On this Sabbath.
. . .
Later, from jail
I sent a brace of telegrams
to the right people,
explaining my position.

It's a Boss-darned, uro-grafitti'd, bat-belfry'd boulevarde of Truth Incorporated out there (9-to-5, and watch over your shoulder, not to mention the palisades of your cubicle), so it must be true.

You poor bastards'll see that soon enough.

Well at this point, it's just you and me talking back and forth.

Some of that stuff esp. the last stuff written i honestly don't even remember writing. No idea.

Mr. Lawry, Mr. Simpson.(Mr Simpson a year ago this week.).......... are two people that i've known personally who have pulled a HST .. Mr Toole.. A confederacy of dunces..... Another mad genius who decided it was time to go ..

I guess this is just me dealing with the awful truth of suicide. I'm not talking to anybody in particular. It's just more of a ramble.. I feel bad about taking up space, i know they like to keep things in order.

And one way to deal with it in my corner is taking heroic dozes of illegal substances and drinking entirely too much. God, as i get older it's catching up..

Well, thats about it, thanks for stopping by.

Take care..

Just say maybe.

Greetings.

I'm a bit confused here, since I cannot follow what you're saying here, what it has to do with Hunter S. Thompson, and wondering if he ever published any poetry.  Please forgive my ignorance, but I have no idea what is happening in this thread and who are the people that seem to be talking back and forth??

I guess you died a while
ago,
and there are plans to fire
you out of a cannon.

It's been about a year
since

lost a little bit
of
innocence..

I'm not
the least bit
bitter
about
the way
things are

You know me

Thanks,
again

Mr. Lawry
&
Mr. Simpson
Mr. Toole, (points for a good preface)..

""""It is a great pity that John Kennedy Toole is not alive and well and writing. But he is not, and there is nothing we can do about it but make sure that this gargantuan tumultuous human tragicomedy is at least made available to a world of readers. """""

&

Mr.Thompson,

"welcome to the real world kid,
it won't last too long"

For the first week i raised my glasses,
those two lenses that keep my vision sharp
those irish beer holding vessels
and for the maryjane
we both smoked
and held so close to our minds

all for you.

We may be left with why?
only becuase we looked up at you
and waited for the next writing you let out.

If this is the answer
then we don't want to live.

But I want to live
and continue what you have started.

I walk the highlands
and wonder what may have gone through your head.

Goodnight my friend.
Thank you.
