Who loved and cried in pain
For in this age, love is a crime
Unless you know the game.

This is an ode to the beggars along the way,
For the orphans who can’t read a word nor play
For the youths who, with drugs and alcohol, lost their way 
And the deaf who can’t hear me pray

In this age
Where hunger feeds the poor
And money runs the rules
Please take us away

Take us somewhere else
To a new identity, another age
With beautiful memories for a past,
Where present smiles do last,
Where love knows no bounds
And where heartbeat’s louder than doubt.

This goes for the mother who left her baby
To feed a stranger’s child
For in this age, stay together
If you have food and water.

I dedicate this to those who had not a day
In this age for their lives were taken away,
To the kid who shined the man’s shoe and wasn’t paid due
And the blind singer who once prayed

In this age
Where status is so cruel
And power is the rule
Let us float away

Take us somewhere else
