Lovely again Diane.  I like the sharper focus and as Prosaic says, you can always make the colour more intense.

The raindrops look like glass beads.

Hi Nas,

Thanks. I will experiment with the color on this one and see what turns up.

Love them both. . .think the slightly out-of-focus areas caused by the wind add to the picture!

The second one is lovely as well. . .washed out or not. . .I like the composition.

Hi Ren,

Thank you. I really like the plant after a rain with all the droplets covering it. I have found that shooting in macro even the slightest breeze can blur your shot, the wind from this mild rainstorm kept kicking up so it was a challenge.

Thanks Diane.

I do find this a tad "washed-out"! compared to the previous one. But the focus is more consistent. Of course, should you wish, you could always wash this back in by a tweak on the colour saturation.

Prosaic,

Thanks. Here is another one of the shots taken, but the color is a little washed out.

Prosaic,

I took several shots trying to get it right but the problem was the wind kept making the palm leaf move and this was the clearest shot of all I took. I was using the close-up setting, which works quite well and is very clear. It is a Kodak 10x Zoom. It has a Kodak color science chip and a Schneider Kreuznach Variogon Lens, if that helps you any. I am hoping for another rain with less wind so I can re-shoot with better conditions to get a fully focused shot. I guess I could drag out the water hose... Smiley

Hi Diane,

Thanks muchly. It does not mean anything yet but I shall Google in a few mins.

Yes, I am sure you can re-shoot but this is fascinating, nonetheless.

I am hopeless with my (single) macro setting. Mind you, I did shoot a fairly good shot of a slug on cow parsley over the weekend. But that is unusual - mostly I shoot blurrs.

Well done!

Hi Diane

I love the clarity of the in-focus part of the picture.  The raindrops are wonderfully detailed,  It migt be interesting to just crop GWTW so only the in=forcuss

Nas,

I think I can re-shoot and get the picture I was looking for. I have been experimenting with my macro setting because I have never really used it until recently.

Hi Diane,

This is an interesting one because the focus is amid-ships, with out-of-focus areas back and forth. This is quite unusual... I am not entirely sure I like it per se but I certainly find it fascinating and instructive.

What camera are you using, please? (The clarity of the focus-area is stunningly-good - which, of course, also reflects on the photographer: both elements have to be right).

Good colours, too.

Thanks for posting.
