Cyn,

Some nice rhyming variations. In S1 L3, you seem to be using the adjective 'taut' as a verb, shouldn't it be 'tauten'?

I like Alan's treatment of the last line, which magnifies the high to low winddown more than original single line.

Perhaps you might fence off feeings in the dark rather than wall them off.  Alliteration, plus avoid repeat of "wall" later.

Dear Cyn,

I'm curious if there is any reason for the line spacing ?

I would have put iy like this, tho I am not saying it is any better, just an experiment :

Start Again

And so we start again.
It’s not as if your word
was more than mere disdain,
and yet we go toward
the finish, naught to gain,
but just to taut the cord
of truth, not staunch the pain.

So then, whose faith
will fall and will it leave a mark
or suffer silence, wall off feelings in the dark?
We’ve said it, all in all, too many times, the stark
reality a pall.

The plate that hit the wall,
now,
that did leave a mark.

Loved the last line btw.

Love
Alan

It seems like your doing a freestyle instead.

The ending is absolutely neo-classic.
i like the "a pall" play as well.
