I thought this was an excellent tribute, the use of similarities with regard to their songs flowed nicely, I feel as well that they split well prior to their penical, at least Paul is still cranking things out.

Hi javajoe,

This is really pretty cool and a great play on their songs.

I too will sit back and think of yesterday.

Hi javajoe,

Welcome to Poem Train.

This is a really neat play on old Beatle tunes...

You've got the right amount too, not too little that we miss the point and not so much that we get lost in it.

Thanks for sharing these... and give me a moment to dwell on "yesterday"

Mary

GEORGE’S SONG

I lived in a yellow submarine;
the grass was blue, the sky was green.
I had a dog quite contrary,
and a van painted peach and cherry.
But my strawberry field
has no fruit left to yield;
it has turned brown and bare,
where once it was lush and fair.

I wonder what Paul feels;
how his mind races and reels.
He has lost George and John
two great friends dead and gone.
My white album is turning black,
but that I could I get it back.
I feel the world has been lost;
all musicians know the cost.

My close friend tries and tries
but he just sits there and cries.
Then he plays an upbeat tune,
with his Fender in the corner of the room.
Right now he’s not feeling strong,
as time crawls along.
For the day surely creeps
while his guitar gently weeps.
